National Philanthropy Day

National Philanthropy Day® (NPD) is a special day set aside in November each year to recognize the tremendous contributions of philanthropy, leaders in the philanthropic community, and the significant and beneficial impact they achieve daily.

NPD provides an awesome opportunity to reflect on the meaning of giving and all that it has made possible. First held in 1986, NPD celebrates the daily contributions individuals and organizations across the world make to countless causes and missions. Last year, more than 100 AFP chapters held NPD events–including our very own Aloha Chapter.

Through NPD, participants are able to acknowledge all that has been accomplished in the name of giving, as well as show that there is still more to do. NPD is an opportunity and our responsibility to remind our local community and the world that the spirit of giving is alive and well--especially in Hawaii.

We encourage you to make your plans to attend both the NPD Conference and Awards Luncheon. The NPD conference is hosted solely by the Association of Fundraising Professionals-Aloha Chapter.

We hope you will choose to be active in celebrating National Philanthropy Day®. The participation and presence of your board, trustees, and/or constituents can not be overstated. It will make a significant difference on National Philanthropy Day and it all begins with you!  Thank you very much for your consideration and continued support.
